Imogen-mei Jewellery has Launched Its First Range of Sterling Silver Jewellery
September 1st, 2009Imogen-mei Jewellery has launched … This unique line of jewellery is ready for purchase ! It is important to us that our customers stay happy with their sterling silver jewellery and so we want to share with you how to take care of your purchased product.
Imogen-mei Jewellery is made of Sterling Silver. This is a metal that is known to dull and darken over time and so it is important that on occasion you clean the product to bring back its shine and lustre. Even though Imogen-mei Jewellery does carry a High Quality Assured Stamp this cleaning process is something any silver jewellery piece would need.
Because Imogen-mei has a certain design which creates unique silver jewellery most pieces will have a blackened area that is there to enchance the design. This is safe and harmless. However because of this finish you are Unable to clean your silver product in a wet solution. The bonus to this news is that it is in fact a fortunate limitation. You see, silver cleaning solutions are known as a ‘quick fix clean’ and are not friendly to the silver jewellery.
The way in which to clean your unique silver jewellery would be to use a Silver Polishing Cloth. This cloth should be 100% Cotton as this is the least abrasive cloth available. These silver polishing cloths have special cleaning chemicals on them which clean the surface of your silver jewellery. Please note you must Not wash your cloth as this will eradicate the chemicals that clean the jewellery and you will be left with an ineffective cloth. The cloths last for a long time and can be used until they fall apart, even if appear stained and dirty.
Simply take your jewellery and lightly massage the piece with the cloth in a circular motion. You only need to do this for around 10 seconds and we would recommend you put the piece into the cloth so both sides are massaged at the same time. Alternatively, you can hold the silver jewellery in one hand and lightly rub the cloth over the piece.
Please do Not use Silver Paste Cleaner. This is unnecessary anyway and is used to remove deep build up of tarnish on silver jewellery, however if you wipe your Imogen-mei jewellery at regular intervals then deep tarnish wont build. Deep tarnish generally appears after a long while of not wearing the product or from not being stored correctly.
Therefore we will tell you how to store your jewellery.
The best way to store your Imogen-mei jewellery would be in the Jewellery Box that the product is sent to you in. This is great for Jewellery Gifts but is also great for use as a jewellery box. Simply remove the inside foam padding to create more storage space.
If you are planning to store more than one piece of jewellery in the imogen-mei Jewellery Box then we advise you to not overfill the box as this can add risk to your jewellery becoming scratched. It is also advised that only sterling silver jewellery is stored together. If a mix of metals is stored in the same box then it is best to keep the pieces of jewellery seperate using Jewellery Cloth Bags. Please remember to keep your jewellery box closed properly whilst storing products as this will help minimize tarnishing.
Avoid wearing Imogen-mei Jewellery whilst sleeping. However do wear the silver jewellery as much as possible as this will help keep its lustre ….
Imogen-mei Jewellery will be looking to sell Jewellery Polishing Cloths in the near future, however until such time you can purchase a Cotton Silver Cloth from the following trusted websites:
